Celebrated Nigerian music artist cum Nollywood actress, Omawumi Megbele-Yusuf affirmed her zero tolerance level during a live TV interview. Omawumi over the years has been reported to have temper issues and she did not fail to disappoint her fans as she walked out
on a presenter who asked her question she could have ignored. On Wednesday, May 4, the music star granted an interview Zinna of HF TV and all seemed to be going well as the presenter asked her various questions concerning her marriage, how she is rocking motherhood, her new single with Angelina Kidjo and many more question which she answered very well until she was asked about she manages her smocking habit in front of her children. Omawumi who wanted to give a reply to that question but she later felt the presenter was indirectly accusing her of her smoking and drinking habit and Omawumi immediately asked: “have you seen me smoking before?” due to this, she gave no room for the journalist to even say another word claiming that the Zinna was out to destroy her career. She said: “You see me as an artist, I am contributing what I can. I make music the way that I should and I come here and honour your invitation and then you sit down and talk about my smoking & drinking to people that are listening. And you’re supposed to mean me well, when these people are supposed to be the ones that are buying my music. Now, when you say that sort of thing, do you mean me well? You can’t ask me to kill a rumour that you are not sure about…as a rumour, you need to go and dig and get your facts right before you ask somebody something …and that is the end of this interview.” After saying this, Omawumi walked out on the presenter. It could be remembered that two years the sensational singer debunked the allegation of her slapping a photo journalist who was trying to carry out his duty. It was reported that while carrying out lawful duty, the photo-journalist Adekola Bamigbala attempted to take pictures of Omawumi but little did he know that danger was lurking around for him, as the singer allegedly pounced on him, snatched his camera dealt with him until he had a swollen face.
