The last BET awards have triggered grievances from top African stars who got nominated in this year’s edition of the awards.
Their claims been that, the Best International Artiste (Africa) category was never treated with much respect as it was always staged before the main event thereby creating impression that they are second citizens and Africa is too large to have just one category in the glorified awards.
Following the criticisms against the awards, The Black Entertainment Awards’ (BET) director of programming and production, Lilian Blackson has reacted and give response to the African stars.
Lilian in a series of tweets addressed the issue and gave her advice to the African stars.
