Traditional Ruler Blasts Leader Of Celestial Church

The Onimeko of Imeko in Ogun State, Oba Benjamin Akanbi Onike, has called Tosho Oshoffa, the factional pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ, (CCC) a bastard, whose intention is to truncate the good legacies left behind by his late father.

Oba Onike, who banished Tosho from Imeko Village during the week, made the statement in reaction to the leadership crisis that is currently rocking the Celestial Church, where Tosho had announced himself as a factional pastor.
The monarch, in a chat with Naij correspondent said “it is only a bastard that would do what Tosho is doing to his brother and his father’s legacy now. For crying out loud, his elder brother (Mobiyina) who is the church’s recognised pastor is still alive, so why the attempt to overthrow him?
“I am ashamed of Tosho for doing this to his own flesh and blood. The whole family knows that he has a calling, but why can’t he wait for his time? Mobiyina is still very much alive and still in charge of the church. But Tosho allowed some old and corrupt leaders of the church push him to his downfall and the family is not in support of this.”
Oba Onike said the late Oshoffa’s children have performed woefully in keeping the legacy left behind by their father and founder of the church. “Look at the abandoned cathedral of the church for instance.”
“It has been abandoned for many years; that should have been a museum of sort that can also be regarded as African Jerusalem. Rather than focus on enviable projects like this, they are fighting over posts. This is shameful.”
