The Defence Headquarters had on June 9, Tuesday announced the arrest of “two high profile terrorists”, who masterminded the Gombe motor park bomb blast.
The suspects had been apprehended in the Bajoga area of the state after a shootout with soldiers on June 7, Sunday.
One of them had reportedly sustained serious injuries during the encounter and was said to be receiving treatment at a military medical centre while interrogation of the suspects has started.
A photo of one the men who masterminded the blast, has surfaced.
The blast which occurred on October 31, 2014, had killed over 30 people. The suspects were said to have left the bomb inside one of the vehicles at the park..
The police had made some arrests on the spot, it could however not be immediately ascertained if those arrested were the real suspects or not.
