Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president of Nigeria, on June 2, Tuesday attended the inauguration of Sudanese president, Omar al-Bashir in Khartoum.
The vice president represented President Muhammadu Buhari, who had to make a trip to Chad and Niger.
President Bashir has been in power since 1989 and won 94% of the vote in a national election in April, the first since Sudan saw its south secede in 2011. He was sworn in for another five-year term Tuesday, extending his 25-year rule.
