Uduaghan reassures security agencies of support

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, yesterday, reassured security agencies of the state
government’s continued support in the fight against crime in the state.
Speaking when the new state Police Commissioner, Mr. Alkali Usman paid him a courtesy call at Government House, Asaba, Uduaghan said the state government had barred secret cult activities, enjoining the new Police boss to keep a critical watch on cultism in the state.
Expressing worry that election matters could lead to security challenges, he said the government was determined to ensure a peaceful elections in the state in 2015.
Usman said: “I am here to do police business. I am well informed of the security challenges here and I am here to make the state crime-free by making it possible for people to move about freely.”
