Ikorodu Residents Want Compensation From Ambode

Ikorodu Residents Want Compensation From Ambode
One of Ikorodu’s politicians,
Adewunmi Benson, wants compensation
for people of the division
Adewunmi Benson, one of the politicians in Ikorodu division, has appealed to Akinwunmi Ambode, newly-installed governor of Lagos state to adequately compensate the people of the division.
In an exclusive cha, the politician popularly called Captain expressed concerns over political appointments in the state in the coming weeks, noting that Ikorodu deserves top posts in the new administration for the massive votes it frequently gives the state during elections.

He argued that apart from the post of the Special Adviser on Education (SAE) to the immediate past governor, Ikorodu did not really have top appointments in the outgone administration.
Adebenson, as he is fondly called in some quarters noted that, “we have always done well for the Lagos state government and we deserve more than we are getting from the leaders of the state.
“Ikorodu did brilliantly well in ensuring the emergence of the new governor as we have always done, and I believe that nothing can serve as compensation other than top political appointments for the people of Ikorodu to be able to draw more developments to the division.
“Although we had a few appointments from the immediate past government, we were not adequately represented in his cabinet.
“I believe that we have men and women within the division who are capable of holding top posts in the state and I look forward to seeing the members that will form the new cabinet of the new governor and a strong representation of Ikorodu division”.
Some youths under the aegis of Ikorodu Ambassadors Group had recently trekked to Alausa to ask the Lagos state government to consider the division for speakership of the Lagos state house of assembly, commissioners, special advisers, special assistants and board of directors.
