As part of his preparations for the 2015 presidential race, former Vice President, Abubakar Atiku, is about to begin a national peace tour that will take him to major decision-makers, opinion moulders and groups across the country.
Vanguard learnt that the tour, tagged “Atiku Peace Tour” will take the former vice president to key places and people nationwide.
According to an authoritative source within the Atiku Campaign team, the tour is designed to “give hope to the hopeless masses, rekindle their patriotic zeal, duty to country and responsibility to society.”

The source told reporters over the weekend that Atiku, who is known to be eyeing the presidential ticket of All Progressives Congress, APC, had begun extensive consultations with stakeholders in Nigeria and abroad.
It was also learnt that Atiku’s bridge-building effort is designed to tackle most of the core challenges facing the nation. It was gathered that the former vice president, and his new team, will be meeting diverse religious and professional bodies nationally and internationally.
