Barely two weeks after taking over the reins of affairs in rivers state, governor Nyesom Wike says his administration has started delivering on his pre-election campaign promises.
Wike, who made this disclosure during the live telecast of the inauguration of the senate president at the 8th national assembly , stated that with the help of the people, there is no limiting the number of achievements his administration can record.
The former supervising minister of education was elected in a controversial circumstance during the April 11 gubernatorial election and his emergence has been under scrutiny ever since, but this has not deterred the People’s Democratic party (PDP) stalwart from progressing with work as the governor.
While listing some of his administration’s achievements so far, Wike said: “one of the things that we promised was the reopening of the courts which we have done already.
“We also said that the house of assembly would move to its permanent site to go to its permanent site and that exactly is what we are doing. With the support of the people, we can achieve more in this state”.
Tele Ikuru, former deputy governor of the state revealed in a recent report, that his former boss, Rotimi Amaechi, left him with nothing after working with him for eight years.
