A 35-year-old businessman, Arinze Nnachi has been arrested and charged to court for allegedly robbing one commercial sex worker, identified as Patience Sunday.
According to Punch report, Nnachi met the lady at hotel on Borno way, Ebute Meta, Lagos state and agreed to pay her N5,500 for a night.
After their time together, he paid her N2,000 instead of the agreed sum. An argument ensued and Nnachi allegedly beat her up.
Patience also claimed that the suspect stole her mobile phone worth N45, 000.
The suspect was arraigned on June 2, Tuesday before an Ebute Meta magistrate court sitting in Lagos, on a two counts charge of assault and stealing.
He however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
E.O. Ogunkanmi, the magistrate presiding over the matter granted him bail in the sum of N20,000.
Some months back, a top politician in Delta state was beaten up by a group of commercial sex workers operating in Asaba, the state capital for refusing to pay for the services they rendered to him.
