Olu of Warri inaugurates 12-man INYC executive

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli, has warned the newly inaugurated Itsekiri apex youth body, Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, to ensure that they do not engage in any unwholesome act capable of bringing their name to disrepute. He also advised them not to allow
themselves to be used by any political party or individual for selfish purposes. Ogiame Ikenwoli, at his palace during the inauguration of the 12-man executive with Mr. Esimaje Awani as President, charged them to work for the general good of the Itsekiri at all times and to co-opt the youth leaders of various Itsekiri towns and communities in the course of their two-year tenure for maximum efficiency and performance. In a letter of authority signed by the Olu of Warri himself and copied to all relevant government authorities in the state and the Presidency, the royal father said: “The council is saddled with the management of all affairs in Itsekiriland. They have my mandate, blessing and approval to carry out these responsibilities.” He charged all concerned to accord them the necessary support and co-operation. The Esimaje-led executive is an amalgam of the previous two factions of the INYC in Itsekiriland during the reign of departed monarch of the kingdom, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse II, who stated clearly that the functions of the INYC include “co-ordinating, promoting and advancing the cause of Itsekiri youths in Warri Kingdom.” Members of the new executive are Omasan Ogharandukun, 1st  Vice President; Raymond Atsenuwa, 2nd  Vice-President; Tuoyo Ofuyaekpone, 3rd  Vice President and Humphrey Tuoyo as Secretary. Others include Weyimi Eyitemi, Treasurer, Stanley Emiko PRO, Tsaye Edeyibo as Financial  Secretary and four others respectively.
