AHEAD the June 18 governorship primaries of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, delegates of the party from Owan East, West and Ovia Local Government Areas of the state, have pledged their support for Mr Godwin Obaseki. The delegates who expressed confidence that Mr
Obaseki will continue the developmental projects of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, said they decided to back Obaseki “because we see him as one who will take the entire state as his constituency and not a section of the state.” Addressing the delegates at Afuze, a member of the House of Representatives and Deputy Chief Whip of the House, Mr Pally Iriase, cautioned the delegates to be wary of other aspirants who may not have the managerial expertise like Obaseki, describing Obaseki as the engine room of the success recorded by the Oshiomhole administration, making him a more competent aspirant in the race than others. Other leaders who endorsed Obaseki include APC Woman Leader, Hajia Zanaitu Shaka, Majority leader of the state Assembly, Folly Ogedengbe and Ojo Asein. Also in Ovia, the chairman of the APC in Ovia North East, Benson Edosanwan led over 161 delegates to the rally.
