UNBELIEVABLE! See Twin Boys Born With Different Skin Colour

UNBELIEVABLE! See Twin Boys Born With Different Skin Colour

Wonders will never cease. Twin brothers Bobby and Riley George were born 30 minutes apart from each other, and so resembled each other that it was obvious they were twins.
Then, after about six weeks, the boys’ appearances started changing, with Bobby’s hair growing curlier and his skin lighter, and Riley’s skin darkening and his hair growing dark and straight.

Now, four years later, the twins could not be more different, as Bobby is white-skinned, blond-haired and blue-eyed, while Riley has the dark skin, hair and eyes of his father.

They were born in Feltham, West London, to mother Abigail Tongue, 22, who is white and father Richard George, 26, who is of mixed race.

When it was first discovered that their mother, Mrs Tongue was expecting twins, doctors revealed that there was a one-in-a-million chance that the babies, created with two separate eggs, would have different skin tones. And then at delivery on October 2011 at West Middlesex University Hospital, London, they almost looked identical.

Mr George said “When she was pregnant we’d joke how one could be black like me and another white like Abbie but we never thought it would happen”.

Their personalities also developed differently with Bobby becoming very free and full of life while Riley became more laid-back and dependent.
About two years ago when Bobby broke his leg, staff at West Middlesex Hospital did not believe the boys were twins, and they had to check Miss Tongue’s medical records to be sure.
She told the UK’s Daily Mail that people in the street would look at her strangely, or ask if she was babysitting Riley: “I couldn’t believe I had two different coloured babies. It’s so uncomfortable and awkward because they are insinuating I’ve had an affair. It can be quite upsetting, people not believing your child is yours.’
The couple also have a 17-month-old daughter Amelia whose complexion is a combination of both parents.
Miss Tongue added: ‘We’re a special family, our two boys show that. The doctors said they’re one in a million – and I agree.’
