On Sunday the 28th, June 2015 the grand finale of the BET awards took place at the Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles USA. with winners smiling home with their coveted prizes.
The two Nigerians artistes that got nominated at the awards were Yemi Alade and Wizkid,
they both got nominated on the Best International Act (Africa) category.
One of the Nigerian contingents at the awards Yemi Alade, has expressed her displeasure with the organizers of the awards pointing out where they gone wrong and undermining the category that concerned Africa.
The angry Yemi took to her Instagram handle to post a not too happy looking picture of herself with a caption.
“When bae says he misses you…#imaginaryBae By the way … @bet_intl Africa is not a country!!!… It is wrong to nominate huge African stars and publicly try to humiliate Africa. Why on Earth is the African category of the awards held hours before the main event? If African artistes are not worthy in your sight. Pls by all means cancel delete, omit best international act (Africa) category out of the glorified awards.
