Student Allegedly Murdered By Rival Cult Group

Student Allegedly Murdered By Rival Cult Group
The ancient town of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, South-West Nigeria, was thrown into mourning on Tuesday, May 26, when a student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, was shot dead in broad daylight.
The victim, Agoro Omokoleola, whose Facebook ID is Omokoleola Cool Cash, was reportedly murdered by suspected cultists.

Sources posited that, the way the youngster was lured out of his family house and killed, suggests that the operation was carried out by a rival cult group.
It is understood that the incident has been reported at the nearest police station.
Family sources disclosed that Omokoleola, was invited outside through a phone call he received about 12 noon on Tuesday, May 26, but unknown to him, the phone call was a bait for him to come out of his home.
On getting to where he was expected to meet some of his friends, as directed by the caller, he was reported to have been shot in the head.
Passers-by who knew his parents were said to have reported the incident to them, and by the time the parents and relatives got to the scene, he was still breathing and was rushed to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, where he later died.
Omokoleola, was in Ijebu Ode to attend the wedding ceremony of his sister which took place on Saturday, May 23, 2015. He already had his bags packed and ready to go back to school when he received the phone call that led to his death.
The assailants took his phone after shooting him apparently to prevent the victim’s relatives from discovering the identity of the caller.
Last week 14  junior secondary school students were arrested in Edo state over cult-related activities.
