Kenyan Lawyer Wants To Propose To Obama's Daughter

Kenyan Lawyer Wants To Propose To Obama's Daughter
Felix Kiprono

A Kenyan lawyer has offered US President Barack Obama his livestock in exchange for his daughter’s hand in marriage.
Felix Kiprono said he would pay 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats in order to fulfil his dream of marrying a 16-year-old Malia.

In a recent interview with The Nairobian newspaper, the young man said that he fell in love with Obama’s daughter in 2008. At that time the president was running for office for the first time and Malia was a 10-year-old girl.

“As a matter of fact, I haven’t dated anyone since and promise to be faithful to her. I have shared this with my family and they are willing to help me raise the bride price,” he said.

Kiprono said that he is going to put his offer of marriage to Obama and hopes that the president will bring his daughter with him when he comes to Kenya.
“I am currently drafting a letter to Obama asking him to please have Malia accompany him for this trip. I hope the embassy will pass the letter to him.”
“People might say I am after the family’s money, which is not the case. My love is real,” he stressed.
The young lawyer said that he had already planned his ideal proposal, which would be made on a hill near his village. Kiprono hopes that he and his beloved will lead “a simple life”.
“I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (maize porridge) and prepare mursik like any other Kalenjin woman,” he added.
It would be recalled that Obama’s father was born in Kenya, therefore, a number of the president’s relative still live in Kogelo.
