75 Youths Trekking For GMB Arrive Abuja
Hashimu Suleiman treks from Lagos to Abuja in honour of Buhari

Seventy-five youths who set out from Kebbi state in solidarity with the President-elect Muhammadu Buhari arrived Abuja yesterday evening at about 7.30pm.
The trekkers were received by Senator Adamu Aliero at the Zhabu filling station along the Kubwa Expressway.

They revealed that they were 62 when they started the journey from Jega local government area of Kebbi state and when they got to Miama local government area, 13 more youths joined them, making them 75.
The spokesperson of the group, Mallam Abubakar Bulu, said that it was while the youths trekked from Jega to Kebbi to witness Buhari’s campaign in the state they promised to trek from Kebbi to Abuja in his honour if he won.
“They are from different local government areas in the state, not just from Jega. They started their journey on May 9 and, throughout the journey, we were well received by APC supporters and well wishers in various towns and villages.
“Starting from Jaga, Miayama, Yawuri, Kontagora, Tegena, Zungeru, Minna, Suleja and, eventually, when we stopped at the Zhabu filling station in Kubwa.
“Wherever they passed the nights they were well accommodated by well wishers and supporters. This exercise was organised by former governor of Kebbi State and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Muhammadu Adamu Aliero,” he said.
Shortly after Muhammadu Buhari was announced as the winner of the presidential election, 33 year old Hashimu Suleiman trekked from Lagos to Abuja to celebrate the victory of the president-elect.

However with this recent trend of trekking, Mohammed Shehu an aide to Muhammadu Buhari, has advised the youths to channel their energies towards more productive ways of showing solidarity to the incoming administration instead of trekking.
