Report: Arsenal set sights on $30 million Marco Reus

FBL-GER-SUPERCUP-DORTMUND-BAYERN
Arsene Wenger spent almost $100 million on two attackers this summer, but he isn’t stopping there.

According to reports in England, Arsenal want German international Marco Reus at the Emirates and the Borussia Dortmund ace could be available for as little as $30 million after this season as a buy out clause inserted into his contract kicks in.
Reus, 25, missed the World Cup due to injury but has been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and now Arsenal, as the forward continues to turn heads.
It seems as though plenty of top clubs in Europe will be clambering for Reus between now and May 2015, as the the attacker has refused to sign a new deal and remove the clause. Dortmund have been bitten by this before, as Mario Gotze left BVB for Bayern Munich back in 2013 after the release clause became apparent. That news came out a few days before Bayern and Dortmund were set to clash in the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley, as Gotze went to Bayern later that summer. His good friend Reus will now be in a similar situation.
Reus can play across any position in the front three and his pace running with the ball make him an ideal target for Arsenal. He has scored 43 goals in 92 games for BVB and the way he flows in and out of wide positions, then pops up in the center, means he’d interact with Arsenal’s other attackers seamlessly.
With fellow German internationals Mesut OzilLukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker already at Arsenal, Reus may feel at home. However, there could be quite a logjam in the forward positions if he arrives. Alexis SanchezDanny Welbeck, Theo Walcott, Ozil, Olivier Giroud and potentially Reus, that’s six world class attackers with only three spots open in the Gunners’ 4-3-3 formation.
Hmm, let’s see how this works. Of course, Arsenal won’t be the only team looking to tempt Reus away from Dortmund next summer but they are already planning out how they can.
