The ceremony which was held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-mosan, Abeokuta was witnessed by dignitaries across the state.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Amosun urged the lawmakers not to betray the confidence reposed in them by good people of the state in discharging their constitutional responsibilities.
He called for synergy among all arms of government and urged the newly inaugurated assembly members to effectively discharge their duties.
The immediate past Speaker of the Assembly Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi representing Yewa-North Local Government Area was re-elected as the Speaker of the House while Mr Olakunle Oluomo representing Ifo Constituency 1 emerged the Deputy Speaker.
Other principal officers of the House are: Hon. (Asiwaju) Yinka Mafe who was elected Majority Leader; Hon. Hassan Olawale Alausa, Minority Leader; Hon Idowu Olowofuja, Chief Whip; Hon. (Barr.) Adebowale Ojuri, APC Whip; and Hon. Jemili Akingbade, PDP Whip.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adekunbi promised the unwavering commitment of the house to the overall development of Ogun State. The 26-members Assembly has 17 All Progressives Congress (APC) and 9 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members.
