Nigeria’s president-elect Muhammadu Buhari takes the oath of office on Friday May 29. Naij.com has gathered up 15 most interesting facts about the inauguration of our new president.
1. The inauguration ceremony will be held at Eagles Square, Abuja at 8.00 am.
2. 5,000 cards have reportedly been printed for the event.
3. At least, a total of 50 Heads of State from Sub Sahara Africa and across the globe are expected to witness the inauguration of the president-elect.

It would be recalled that Buhari, 72, received 15.42 million votes against President Jonathan during the general polls held on March 28-29. Goodluck Jonathan secured 12.85 million votes.
Buhari first seized power of Nigeria in a military coup, and was in charge from 1983 to 1985. He was elected of the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Jonathan, 57, of the Peoples Democratic Party, became the acting president in 2010, won the 2011 election, but failed to secure a win in 2015.
